Ty is a BMX racer for InSightAble Services. Ty rides a GT Auburn and is trying to save up for the DK General Lee. When he started out racing he was riding a Diamondback Viper.  One day with his viper he got a little crazy and jumped a step up with a five foot lift (he didn't pull it off) landing was about seven foot high and six feet apart, after hitting the lip of the landing with the forks, the frame cracked.

After being the subject of much ridicule, a new bike had to be found, saved for etc, etc, etc. So then he went and got it welded and did the jump and finally made it that time. He landed, he went straight for the vertical and did a 180 one footer and then got off his bike and walked home. The next day he went and bought a new Trek Submission.

Most of his friends live in Phoenix Arizona and there they built their own little BMX tracks with mainly jumps. Only they were racing on that track until the State came and tore it down. But they continued building the tracks and the State kept coming and tearing the tracks and jumps down about every other month. After riding the trek for awhile he decide to sell it and got a good deal on it.

He now lives in Camp Verde, Arizona with his dad, which is a very small town with hardly any where to ride but Ty is still searching for  places to ride.

In April 1st of 1999, Ty traded his auburn for a Schwin Super Stock and took it to Phoenix for the weekend and rode it around to get comfortable with the bike and went home April 4th. Later that day back in Camp Verde he met up with a couple of his friends and they went to Chris's house where Chris built a six foot high double which Ty was the second to try and wasn't quite comfortable with the bike yet and flew into the mesquite bush in between the jump and landing. So they built a rhythm section over the big double and Ty really wasn't comfortable with the bike yet, but he still tried it and ate SHIT!!! he flew into the other jump with his head and was knocked out for 6 and a half minutes and messed up his wrist. Later that week needless to say,  he traded his bike back for his old Auburn and he's out there riding now but he hasn't had the courage to do Chris's jump yet.

Not to worry, knowing Ty, he will be CRAZY enough to try it again until he clears that jump.
